Infy Life (Infosys Mysore Campus)

Infosys Mysore is the best training center of all. Seriously, it is beautiful, well equipped and organized. It has all the facilities that one need and can probably imagine. Of course, you cannot think of a disco within a training campus. Well if you get any chance to get in don’t miss it.

I am so excited to share some of the personal experiences of Infosys Mysore campus. So here we go. On the first day that is a day before joining of my internship, I was asked to report within 10 A.M to 12 P.M. I reached there around 10 A.M and I entered the gate no.2. I have to pass through security check and then asked for my candidate number that was given to me through the mail. After that my luggage was scanned and I have to stand in the queue along the luggage. My parents were only allowed till Fiesta ( one of the food court). Then we were taken to the Global Education Center for the Introduction and we were given IDs. After that, we were allotted rooms. After that, we were taken to ECC( employee Care Center ). The room was awesome. It contained two beds (as I was given a shared room), two bed-lamps, one tea table, two study tables Two sofa chairs, two study chairs, one clock, one kettle, two glasses, two cups, two spoons, two wardrobes, two bottles and more. One attached bathroom was also there. The bathroom is well designed. Each has a wardrobe that contains an electric locker to store our precious stuff. AC was also there which worked perfectly fine. For those who have single room got centralized AC but for us, it was split AC. The room has a telephone too. The best part was the room service. Room service is awesome. They will come every day and they will fix your bed, clean your room, clean your bathroom. They used to change bed sheets every Friday. Sunday was their leave day so no room service on Sundays.

Moving to the training part, the classrooms are amazing. They provide free beverages during the break time. Everyone is allotted with a specific computer system. Class starts at around 9:15 A.M sharp and ends around at 5:30 P.M. We used to stay at GEC for our assignments and that was fun too. Every Saturday there is a musical fountain show that starts at around 7 or 8 P.M  in front of GEC. Well, I didn't spend much of my time in the library but the library has all kind of books one needs in technological or business field.

Now my favorite part, food. There are quite a lot food courts namely – Arena food court, Oasis food court, Magna food court, Fiesta food Court, Enroute food court, Gazibo food court, Maitri food court, amoeba food court and vista food court. There is two food zone as well – Multiplex food zone and ILI food zone. There is a floating restaurant that has a buffet system. It is called so because you can see fishes underneath and it is felt as if the restaurant is between some water. Domino’s give a good deal to infocians. They provide Infosys special pizza at an affordable rate, that was my absolute favorite of all and five star chicken with low GST. Apart from these Infosys has café coffee day, polar bear ice cream and other brands stores. Meals are so cheap and affordable in compared to outside. It is hygienic too. Everyone has to maintain a queue and there is one coupon per head policy. Fiesta is open for the whole night and it serves food for the whole night.

Remembering of stores, Infosys has stores for all the daily needs which is the loyal world. One can find anything that is required in the stores. There were basically three stores located at different places inside the campus. You can find from mobile case to grooming stuff to sports stuff to gifts. They have a store for clothes as well. Airtel and Vodafone store is also there within the campus. There is a mobile shop as well. There are two parlors. One for men and one for women separately. There is a 24/7 medical facility always available and an active ambulance is also there.

Other facilities like cycle and umbrella for traveling within the campus is always available. Yes, there is a rush in the morning while going to the training center and in the evening while coming back.  A multiplex screening newly released cinemas with Rs 100/- of per ticket and free for trainees is also there. Infosys campus has well-equipped gyms, swimming pool, bowling alley, squash, pool, badminton, basketball, cricket ground, wall climbing and many more relaxing facilities. Some of them are free like table tennis, carom etc while for using other facilities one has to pa 500 for the membership card. One can take a steam bath in the common room. There are smoking zones for smokers and they are only allowed to smoke there! Washing machine and dryer is also available for laundry @ rs 51/-. It's really fun exploring the campus. The ambiance is amazing. The environment is full of life. Guards are everywhere to see if everyone is maintaining rules. Lost and found department works perfectly. And yes they respect nature a lot. An excellent experience.
